Health checks were reported at 94% up to date and immunizations at 100%.
Mrs. Willis announced a baby shower for parents on Jan. 23 and a large community health fair scheduled for Feb. 13 at about 11:30 a.m., with eight confirmed vendors including the YMCA, the Georgia Department of Health and the district's child nutrition representative. She encouraged board members and staff to help publicize and support the events.
Separately, district program presenters described midyear academic adjustments at the Burke County Life Center and other schools, including targeted after-school sessions, use of ParentSquare for family communication, and plans to explore Math 180 to address math growth gaps. The board accepted the Early Head Start monthly report and thanked program staff for community outreach efforts.
