Upper Arlington delays Fancyburg Park master plan update; staff reports PSAP roster change

During the Jan. 7 informal work session, city planning staff announced that the Fancyburg Park master plan update has been postponed; parks and recreation staff are expected to present the plan and implementation updates in March. Staff said the proposed maintenance building associated with the master plan "came in way, way over budget," and they are pursuing value engineering and a rebid of that work.
Staff also updated the board on PSAP roster changes: Mary Ann Mitchell has resigned and city council leadership interviewed two candidates this week as potential replacements; staff said a council appointment could occur in February if a candidate is selected. The board was reminded that four members (Mister McGrath, Mister Westbrook, Mister Behringer and Mister Carpenter) have terms expiring in June and were asked to advise staff if they wish to be reconsidered for reappointment.
No formal action occurred on these matters at the Jan. 7 work session; staff said additional presentations and follow‑up items will appear on future agendas.
