Morrow County commissioners approve Douglas Street roofing, signage and capital fund transfers

The commissioners also approved an appropriation of $70,685 of unappropriated certified monies to the capital fund to pay for the two projects. The clerk presented the appropriation and it was moved and seconded before the unanimous roll call.
The actions were presented as routine capital maintenance and improvements; no public opposition or alternative bids were recorded in the session. The clerk noted the capital fund transfer and the individual vendor quotes during the meeting.
Next steps: contracts will proceed under the terms presented; the county will draw the appropriated funds from the capital improvement account to pay the vendors once contracting paperwork is complete.
