Newly sworn Parma councilmembers reflect on service as city holds inauguration program

Ward 1 Councilwoman Monica Wilson was sworn in by Rachel Merbaum and thanked the community for the honor to serve. Ward 2 Councilwoman Deborah Lime — sworn in with volunteers from the Polish Village present — praised volunteers and described the neighborhood activities (parades, treat‑and‑greet, seasonal decorations) that support ward life.
Ward 3 Councilman John Soder thanked administration and Ward 3 residents and reflected on his appointment and election experience. Ward 5 Councilman Alan Divis recognized local party and community leaders, thanked the mayor and administration and emphasized collaboration across departments.
Ward 6 Councilman Kevin Kuzmaul was sworn in by Congressman Max Miller and thanked federal and local officials, family and supporters. Ward 7 Councilwoman Camille (Cammie) Schuman noted her committee roles as finance chair and planning co‑chair and spoke about trust among councilmembers. Ward 8 Councilwoman Amanda Boyd was sworn in by friend Shoshanna Armstrong and named volunteers and staff she relies on; Ward 9 Councilman Rob Early recounted his family’s move to Parma and his long community ties.
Each speech was brief and focused on gratitude, community service and the council’s intent to work collaboratively in the coming term. The program closed with a short message from the chair thanking attendees and wishing a safe evening.
