Unidentified Speaker 6 emphasized the public-safety risk when intersections are blocked and said emergency vehicles sometimes have difficulty reaching local addresses.
Unidentified Speaker 5 suggested funding an education campaign—brief videos and community-policing outreach—targeting both residents and drivers who pass through Saginaw, noting that driver license renewals no longer retest knowledge of some traffic rules. Staff agreed to add these items to future agendas for review; the board did not vote to allocate new funds at this meeting.
