At its Oct. 1 meeting, the Todd County Board of Commissioners approved several routine financial and administrative items:
- Commissioner warrants and Health & Human Services warrants were approved by motion and roll call, with the commissioner warrants totaling $102,342.79 and HHS warrant batches reported in the packet.
- Health and Human Services SSIS warrants totaling $111,893.76 were approved.
- The board approved county ditch maintenance assessments for taxes payable 2025, a budgeted item with an identified financial implication of $26,611.86 to be assessed through special assessments on property taxes.
- The board appointed members to the Environmental Health Appeals Board in accordance with the Todd County Unified Environmental Health Ordinance, including a commissioner seat offered to Commissioner Becker (District 1), advisory members (including Jason Polovic) and an independent sanitarian representative; Commissioner Byers volunteered as the second commissioner member.
- The board proclaimed October 2024 as Domestic Violence Awareness Month at the request of Hands of Hope and allowed a photo afterward.
- The board authorized the chair to sign a resolution establishing the solid waste market price at $82 per staff recommendation under Minn. Stat. 297H.
These routine approvals were recorded by motion and vote during the meeting; staff will incorporate the items into the county record and follow normal implementation steps.
