Three newly appointed members of the Forest Park Downtown Development Authority were sworn in during the board’s Feb. 26 meeting, and the board confirmed its officers and administrative arrangements.
Kenneth Gray, Dr. Bambi Hayes Brown and Dolores A. Gunn each took the oath of office affirming support for the U.S. and Georgia constitutions and a commitment to observe the charter and ordinances of the City of Forest Park. The oaths were administered in succession at the start of the meeting.
After the ceremonial swearing, the board proceeded with nominations and confirmations. The board closed the floor for nominations and confirmed a vice chair. The board also voted to retain the Economic Development office’s staff assistant as the board secretary and to keep the Finance Department handling the board’s treasurer duties. Roll-call votes recorded affirmative responses from the present members for each motion.
The board adopted the meeting agenda with one deletion (Item 8), approved minutes from the Dec. 18 meeting and adopted a 2026 meeting calendar keeping regular meetings on the fourth Thursday of each month at 3 p.m. The calendar motion was moved by Dr. Bambi Hayes Brown and carried on roll call.
The meeting adjourned after the day’s business was completed.
