The Wendell Town Board voted to annex approximately 1.142 acres at 4931 Drive In Lane to allow Seedling Mine Daycare to connect to municipal water and sewer and convert existing buildings into a daycare facility. Planning staff presented the annexation petition A2511 and asked the board to adopt the attached ordinance.
"Marimi Toussaint of Seedling Mine Daycare has submitted an annexation request for approximately 1.142 acres located at 4931 Drive In Lane," planning staff told the board, noting the property is in the town's extraterritorial jurisdiction and has a highway-commercial designation. Staff said the applicant needs municipal water and sewer to renovate the existing buildings and that the site plan is under review by the technical review committee.
No members of the public signed up to speak during the hearing. After staff comments, a board member moved to approve the annexation petition. The motion carried on a voice vote with all members answering "Aye."
