Director Damon Scott described the program — now entering its fifteenth year of county delivery — which provides early childhood home‑visiting services for pregnant people and families with children up to age 5 and partners with New American Pathways and Scottsdale Early Learning Clinic. Scott said the program delivered roughly 3,668 home visits between partners over a recent multi‑year period and reported performance metrics such as high rates of reading to children and postpartum care engagement.
The grant carries no county match requirement. Commissioners confirmed the program will cover families across all of DeKalb County, including municipalities. The committee moved and approved the acceptance by voice vote.
Next steps: county staff will execute the grant paperwork and continue program oversight and partner coordination.
