The recreation report, drawn from the Feb. 9 committee meeting, listed capital improvement projects and grant awards: a new track floor at the recreation center slated for mid‑March installation, touchless faucets at Veterans Park planned for early spring, an HVAC repair completed, and solicitation of quotes to renovate shower facilities. The department received a Wood County Parks District grant to repair lights at John Folcheck Park and funding from the Ohio Parks and Recreation Association initiative for a new playground at Indian Ridge tot lot. Two Eagle Scout candidates are proposing projects (a storage shed for the recreation center and a portable restroom shelter for Island View Park programs).
