Roanoke City Council adopted a walk-on ordinance at its Dec. 16 meeting reappointing three council-appointed officers and adjusting the city’s annual pay plan for those positions.
The ordinance reappointed Timothy R. Spencer as city attorney, Troy A. Harmon as municipal auditor and Cecilia Freeman McCoy as city clerk, with retroactive effect to Oct. 1, 2024. The text also amended the pay plan adopted July 1, 2024, to adjust salaries for certain council-appointed officers effective July 1, 2025. Council moved, seconded and approved the ordinance by roll call.
