After discussion about design and a public-input process, a board member moved and the board voted unanimously to authorize the special projects manager to pursue the grant application and related fundraising. Staff will return with designs and public-engagement plans if the grant application proceeds.
The project currently has no detailed design; staff said they would hold public-input sessions and work with the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and the community on accessibility and features.
