At the close of its Oct. 13 meeting, the committee chair announced a senior fair scheduled for March 11 at the Elks Club and said the venue cost to the committee will be zero.
The chair said the committee's next step after securing the venue is to pursue 501(c)(3) status so the group can route funds where organizers believe they are most needed, including home-delivered meals. "That way, we can, send the money to where we believe it should go to the people who need food and deliveries to their home," the chair said.
A staff member noted she had started a new position and that Dalton and staff would set up the new front-desk specialist; she added that applications are expected to be live by Jan. 1, 2026 and that the committee will use last year's vendor contact list for outreach and reminders.
No formal motions or votes were taken because the meeting lacked a quorum.
