The Poquoson Planning Commission on July 21 retained Heather Schott as chair and Steven Geisinger as vice chair in roll‑call votes during its regular meeting. The commission also appointed Crystal Sapier as clerk and Laura Noots as deputy clerk.
Nominations were made and seconded during the meeting; each nomination carried on roll call. After the chair vote carried, Schott thanked commissioners and praised the commission’s work: "I have told, city council and people I have spoken to what a good commission that we have... And it is a privilege to lead you all," she said.
Staff had recommended the clerk and deputy clerk appointments. The commission welcomed the new clerk and deputy clerk and expressed appreciation for staff work on retreat materials and meeting preparation.
