The Poquoson Planning Commission conducted officer elections during its July 21 regular meeting.
Commissioner Heather Schott was nominated and re-elected chair by motion and roll-call vote. Steven Geisinger was nominated and re-elected vice chair. The commission also moved to appoint Crystal Sapier as clerk and Laura Noots as deputy clerk; both appointments were approved.
Votes were recorded by roll call and the motions passed with the commissioners present voting Aye. The commission expressed appreciation to staff for materials prepared for the June retreat and to incoming clerk Crystal Sapier.
These are internal governance actions and do not change planning policy. The commission will continue regular and work-session procedures with the same officer leadership until the next scheduled elections.
