Tiffany Coleman, representing Vintive Solutions, presented an impact update during the public-comment period at the Luna County Board of Commissioners meeting.
Coleman said Vintive Solutions now has eight clients and has researched about 341 nongovernment grant opportunities. "Number of grant proposals and LOIs submitted were at 85," she added, and said total funding requested across opportunities in her report ranged from about $3.2 million to $5,600,000 (figures reported by the presenter). She said the company had $10,500 in awards so far and 65 decisions pending, and that 11 of the 85 proposals had been declined.
Coleman attributed declines primarily to applicants falling outside funders' priority regions or highly competitive rounds; she said her team follows up on declines to get feedback and improve future applications. She left informational flyers at the meeting's front table and offered to speak further with interested local organizations.
There was no formal county action recorded in the transcript in response to Coleman's report.
