NH COG staff announced that Miranda Creative was selected from 14 proposals to develop and implement a marketing strategy for the Discover Litchfield Hills brand. "They checked every box," Rista said, and Hunter, the lead brand manager from Miranda Creative, described the firm’s approach as an "audit and enhancement" rather than a replacement of existing materials.
Hunter said Miranda Creative will perform a brand audit, improve search‑engine optimization, and develop a marketing plan that takes into account varying annual budgets. He said the firm will work with town tourism groups and the COG’s project manager through monthly meetings and will repurpose existing content such as blogs and "7 great waterfalls" lists to improve reach. "When we do our audit, we'll probably look at SEO ... where we're looking at the language and the usage on the site itself," Hunter said.
Attendees raised outreach options including physical packets for new residents, signage and billboards; Hunter said Miranda Creative does media buys and can propose strategies and partnerships with local realtors and print outlets. Rista noted the contract is signed but the scope is in early stages and that monthly coordination and early adopter participation will guide the rollout.
Why it matters: A coordinated marketing strategy is intended to increase tourism, support local businesses and connect disparate regional assets under a single brand. NH COG staff said early technical work will focus on tourism but may expand to workforce and business development content.
