Los Alamos County council certified the county’s 2026 annual road mileage report to the New Mexico Department of Transportation during the Feb. 3 meeting.
Public Works staff explained that the mileage total is unchanged from last year and that the certification is required to remain eligible for local government road funds used for capital improvements and pavement maintenance. No public comments were received on the item. Councillor Hanns moved to certify the resolution as presented and authorize submittal to NMDOT; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously in roll call.
Staff said the certification is an annual administrative step and there was no substantive change to mileage figures this year.
