Lee County commissioners voted Jan. 15 to award the county's computer-assisted mass appraisal (CAMA) system contract to Catalyst Tax and Grama Incorporated after staff recommended the company following a competitive RFP process.
County staff explained the existing CAMA contract expires Nov. 9, 2026 and the county issued RFP #6 seeking qualified vendors. The evaluation committee recommended Catalyst Tax and Grama Incorporated. The proposed multi-term contract would begin with a five-year initial term and include an option to renew for an additional five years.
Staff presented the costs as an implementation fee of $305,500 and a first-year software subscription fee of $96,250, for a first-year total of $401,750. Commissioners asked clarifying questions about system capabilities and future needs; staff said the award positions the assessor's office to prepare for future valuation and workflow demands.
A motion to approve the award passed by roll call vote.
Next steps: the county will execute the cooperative contract and schedule implementation with the assessor's office and IT staff.
