Curry County approves chip-seal/overlay bid process, authorizes manager to execute contracts

Commissioners discussed durability, contractor reliability and the county’s road standards.
A motion to approve bid number 2025/26-01 and authorize County Manager Lance A. Pyle to execute contracts was moved and seconded. The motion was approved by voice vote; staff was directed to follow procurement policy and to confirm the manager has authority to execute the awarded contracts once responsiveness and responsibility are validated.
Next steps: County staff will confirm references and contractor responsibility determinations and, per the motion, manager Pyle will execute contracts to begin chip-seal and overlay work.
