Gordon (Ford) Beavers presented the agreement and said the contract price presented for acceptance was $10 total.
Beavers compared that $10 agreement to a county-performed cost estimate for the same work of approximately $286,400.96, and characterized the agreement as a county savings of roughly $286,390. He said the work provides an all-weather approach for local traffic and access to methane digester sites and will help a resident on CR‑23 who experiences mud when it rains.
A motion to approve the agreement at the stated cost was moved, seconded and approved by the commission with voice/roll-call affirmation.
Commissioners asked for funding-source details and the county manager said the manager’s office would identify where funds (if any) would be pulled from and that the county must concur on any interim or interim-management proposals related to third-party agreements.
The commission did not identify additional contract amendments at the meeting. Staff said a more detailed per-road cost breakdown could be provided on request.
