Staff announced seven complete bids for Project 202602 (asphalt resurfacing, base plus alternates): Bumgarner Asphalt Services $1,681,311.95; Calumet Civil Contractors $1,996,000; D C Construction Services $1,829,784.76; E & B Paving LLC $1,896,441.50; Howard Companies $1,954,168.95; Milestone Contractors $1,782,000; Reith Riley Construction $1,835,000. The commissioners voted to take the bids under advisement.
Separately, the board executed a contract with Microsurfacing Contractors LLC for approximately 40 centerline miles of microsurfacing at a not-to-exceed amount of $2,272,108.82; staff said expenses are budgeted in the 2026 budget. The motion to approve the microsurfacing contract passed on a voice vote.
