Oshkosh DEI Committee postpones vice-chair vote, cancels May meeting and approves minutes

At its meeting the Oshkosh Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee completed several procedural items: it approved the minutes of the Jan. 27 meeting, voted to postpone a vice-chair election until two additional new members can attend, and voted to cancel the May DEI meeting because it falls on Memorial Day. The meeting concluded with an adjournment motion that carried by voice/roll call.
The postponement of the vice-chair election was moved and seconded with members saying they preferred to wait for fuller participation before holding the election. The motion to cancel the May meeting was moved, seconded and approved by roll call.
These are internal committee governance decisions; items that require council action (for example the Pride sponsorship recommendation and the tenant–landlord resource center study) were forwarded as advisory recommendations for City Council consideration.
