Kirksville’s City Council approved a bundle of procurement actions Tuesday evening, including an ordinance to formalize a colocation agreement with the Kirksville Area Chamber of Commerce and multiple resolutions awarding bids and authorizing purchases for public works, utilities and emergency facilities.
The council adopted Ordinance 2026-04, which authorizes the city manager to execute a colocation agreement with the Kirksville Area Chamber of Commerce and moves the chamber’s reimbursement for administrative-assistant time from a monthly to a quarterly schedule. Mary Macomber, Kirksville’s city manager, said the chamber requested time-tracking for the first year and that the change will result in about $15,500 annually (roughly $3,800 per quarter) in reimbursements from the chamber.
