The Town Board set a public hearing for March 19, 2026 on a rezoning petition for a 1.21-acre property on Dillard Road. Planner Michael Mathis summarized the application from Bill Futrell, submitted Dec. 19, 2025, requesting a change from R-1 residential to B-3 commercial; the property lies in Watershed 3.
Mathis said the county planning board reviewed the application on Jan. 26 and recommended approval. Mathis recommended that the board set the public hearing so that members of the public can comment and the board can take a final action after the hearing.
The board moved and set the hearing for the regular March meeting.
No substantive debate occurred at the Feb. 19 meeting; the item will return after public notice and the March hearing.
