Grant: The Select Board authorized pursuing a Community Compact IT grant to digitize town records (grant awards up to $200,000), with the town offering a roughly $41,000 local match to strengthen the application. Officials said digitization would improve access across departments, enabling keyword search of records and reducing staff time spent retrieving documents.
YMCA waiver and other approvals: The board approved a fee waiver for the YMCA project described in the meeting as about $170,000 tied to anticipated construction/metal costs; officials said the waiver demonstrates town support and will not create an immediate budget hole. The board also discussed a warrant article to transfer care and custody of the Long Creek parcel previously discussed for a police station site.
