Councilman O'Connell said the planning board met Aug. 19 and held a public hearing for 103–129 Jersey Avenue to allow a subdivision into two parcels intended for future mixed‑use development. He also reported presubmissions that were reviewed, including a proposed solar carport at 616 Sussex Street and a candidate dispensary at 77 Dollar Street. "Questions regarding the distances from certain establishments will be clarified at the public hearing," O'Connell said.
The planning board's next meeting was announced for Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. in the council chambers. No formal zoning decisions were made during the council meeting; the items remain in process at the planning board with public hearings noted.
