Board members and administrators said the Ready Math adoption follows review by the math committee and teacher input; the teachers evaluation committee recommended Pivot to replace the district’s current NIET platform for recording evaluations and walkthrough documentation. Superintendent Dr. Korris (on the record) thanked both committees for the time spent vetting materials and emphasized fiscal prudence while noting investments in curriculum and evaluations carry costs.
Administrators framed the approvals as part of normal annual planning. District testing windows were reiterated in reports: the iLearn summative testing window runs April 14–May 9, and building administrators described remediation plans and recent proficiency gains ahead of the testing period.
Other routine business approved at the meeting included field trips and personnel items listed on the consent agenda. The board set its next work session for Wednesday, April 16 at 5:30 p.m. in the Academy Tap Room and its next regular meeting for Monday, April 21 in the Academy Lecture Room.
