The Springs Valley School Board approved a series of routine administrative and operational items at its June meeting, including personnel appointments, contracts, bondings and student meal pricing.
A district staff member announced resignations effective June 30 from Dr. Kyle Nycomb (high school principal) and Dr. Matt Williams (elementary principal) and recommended several hires. The board approved Aaron Karnes as elementary principal for 2024–25 at an annual salary of $88,500 on a two‑year contract and Troy Pritchett as junior–senior high principal at $99,275 (two‑year contract). The board also approved Jerry Cheney as athletic director ($72,500) and Joe Wilson as junior–senior high assistant principal ($75,000). The board voted unanimously on these personnel items.
The board approved personnel and extracurricular staffing recommendations for the upcoming school year, including volunteer band staff and paid stipends for selected staff.
