The Clarksville Community School Board approved the second reading of Neola policy 8,500, updating the district food-service policy to reflect its status as an all-Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) district and to revise language about meal account balances and inactive accounts.
Superintendent Dr. Bennett said the policy "has been updated to show that we are an all CEP community eligibility district, and the wording was revised to reflect that meals will be provided at no charge to all enrolled students." After that second reading, a trustee moved to approve the policy and the motion was seconded; the board approved the policy unanimously.
The updated policy will mirror the CCSC cafeteria meal account guidelines listed on the district website, Dr. Bennett said. The board did not request further changes during the meeting.
