The board closed nominations and appointed Amy Driehorst president by roll-call vote; the chair then yielded the gavel to Driehorst. The board also nominated and elected the vice president, secretary and treasurer during the same sequence of motions and roll-call votes; one member was recorded as excused for several votes.
The board adopted the 2026 meeting schedule after a brief discussion about consolidating the June budget workshop and the end-of-year adoption onto a single evening to keep discussions fresh and allow immediate adjustments if needed. The motion to adopt the recommended schedule passed on a roll call.
On routine organizational business the board approved its list of banks of deposit to be available in calendar year 2026 and passed a resolution authorizing the typical signers on district bank accounts (generally the board president, board treasurer and superintendent) as required by law.
The actions were administrative and procedural; no additional public hearings were held on those items. The board proceeded to personnel items and public comment later in the meeting.
