School committee appoints two interim members for Ward 1 and Ward 5

School board member Truman moved to appoint Tony Pileschi to the Ward 1 seat until the election; the board approved the motion by a 4–0 roll-call vote.
For Ward 5, three applicants addressed the board. Justin Chenette described eight years in the state legislature and experience with school-construction approvals and FOIA-related advisory work; Charles (Chuck) Massey Jr. cited local ties and family in the district; William Gale described public-information work and committee experience. After discussion and a failed nomination for one candidate, School board member Richard moved, and Truman seconded, a motion to appoint Charles Massey Jr.; the board approved that appointment by a 4–0 roll-call vote.
Chair LaFortune and Superintendent Ray said the district will arrange orientation, FOIA training and administrative onboarding (email accounts, swearing-in) for the appointees before the next meeting.
