The Saco School Board completed routine organizational and personnel business during its Dec. 10 meeting, approving minutes, electing leadership and advancing policy actions.
Minutes: School board member Truman moved to approve the 11/12/2025 meeting minutes; the motion was seconded by Jeff Richards and passed on a roll call of 5 yes, 2 abstentions.
Elections: The board elected Sarah Truman as board chair for the coming year (motion by Johnston, second by Roach); the vote was 7‑0. Jennifer Preble was elected vice chair (motion by Roach, second by Warnock); the vote was 7‑0.
Personnel: The board approved the nomination of Joshua Rich for a one‑year school counselor position for the remainder of the 2025–26 school year and approved stipend listings from the packet; the roll call vote passed 7‑0.
Policies: The board approved the first reading of a packet of policies (including BBD, BBBE, BCA, BCB, BEDH, BBAA and related governance items) on a roll call vote of 7‑0.
