Saco board approves second readings of multiple policies, including public‑participation rules

Johnston noted the policy allows for submission of written requests but does not require a written request to bring an item to the board’s attention; staff confirmed that a submission is considered but not automatically guaranteed placement on an agenda.
Roll call recorded six yes votes and the chair announced the motion passed. Board members agreed to practical steps — such as making a printed copy available at the meeting table — to help the public understand when and how they may request items be added to an agenda.
