The St. Francis Area Schools board approved two action items tonight: Policy 503 (student attendance) and a nutrition managers work agreement.
Policy 503, which had been given a first reading at the previous meeting, was moved and seconded and received a voice vote. Board member Mr. Shiller thanked staff for including cultural considerations in portions of the policy that affect funeral and bereavement practices, noting those elements were requested by the APAC group. "I'd like to thank the fact that we took into account cultural, because that was especially amongst the APAC group," Mr. Shiller said during discussion. The transcript records the chair calling for the ayes and then noting "Motion prevails," indicating approval by voice vote.
The board then considered the nutrition managers work agreement. A summary of the agreement was included in the board packet and Brandon was present for questions; no substantive questions were raised. A motion to approve the agreement was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote per the transcript.
The transcript does not specify individual vote tallies or the names of the motion mover and seconder for either item; both actions are recorded as approved by voice vote.
