Rock Ridge wins $1.245M Access grant; MA billing reimbursements increase to about $411,000

Staff reported the district received roughly $411,000 in reimbursements for 24–25—an increase of about $142,000 from the prior period—and said the district contracted with SpEd Forms to assist with billing and back-billing activities.
On the Access grant (Alternative Delivery of Specialized Instructional Services), presenters said the district’s award was listed as $1.245 million; they explained Access operates on a cost-reimbursement model and the district typically expects about 50–60% of eligible costs reimbursed after the district pays salaries and expenses up front. Staff proposed using the grant to support interventionists and existing staff time at the high school and elsewhere and asked the board to authorize posting positions funded by the grant.
The board moved to accept the Access grant authorization and allow posting positions; the motion carried unanimously. Administration noted grant reimbursements do not cover 100% of reported award amounts and that the district will return with implementation details and required reporting.
