"This is not mismanagement in any way, shape, or form," he told the board, urging patience as state numbers are finalized.
He proposed a budget work-study session on Dec. 8 at 5:00 p.m. to begin the budget process and announced 18 community 'info, dialogue and listening' sessions across Gilbert, Eveleth and Virginia in December, with three time slots (9:00 a.m., noon and 5:00 p.m.) at each location so community members can attend a convenient session.
On routine business the board approved the treasurer's report, adopted the third reading of the listed policy package (motion moved, seconded and declared passed) and confirmed that the Truth-in-Taxation item will lead the Dec. 8 regular meeting. The meeting closed after a motion to adjourn that was seconded and declared carried.
