Matilda Junior cast performs at board meeting; district celebrates student achievements

Miss Scally, director of Matilda Junior, thanked the district and community for support and introduced student performers, saying the production provided a special opportunity despite a small budget. "We were able to really bring a special opportunity for the students," Scally said before a short scene.
Administrators highlighted a successful Veterans Day ceremony and said the Chester Academy band performed Taps and the Armed Forces medley. Flanagan praised students and previewed a March full-length production of The Little Mermaid.
Board members also congratulated teams and students who advanced to state-level competitions and announced an ice-cream certificate celebration for academic successes coming Dec. 10.
