Bronxville board swears in new leadership, approves committee and liaison assignments

The Bronxville Union Free School District Board of Education on July 8 elected Eddie Lennon as board president and Sarah Kenny as vice president, administered oaths to newly elected members and approved committee and liaison assignments for the 2025–26 school year.

The board reconvened its public session at 6:51 p.m., conducted nominations and approved the leadership slate by voice vote. The clerk administered the oath to Lennon and to Kenny; both answered affirmatively when asked to support the U.S. and New York State constitutions and to faithfully discharge their duties.

“Eddie and I want to thank Christina and Michael for their leadership of our board,” Sarah Kenny said, adding that their service “helped move our district forward in such meaningful ways. We have big shoes to fill, and we're excited to do so.”

The clerk presented committee and liaison assignments. Among the listings: finance committee (chair listed as Susan Kenneth), facilities committee (chair: Eddie Lennon), negotiations committee (chair: Sarah Kenny), strategy and curriculum committee (chair: Christina Skinner) and health and safety representation assigned to Annie Lennon. The board also named district liaisons to regional organizations including the Westchester Putnam School Boards Association and Southern Westchester BOCES.

Board members moved to approve the committee and liaison slate and adopted the calendar of meeting dates for the coming year by voice vote.

The board thanked outgoing members by name during remarks and concluded the agenda item with procedural approvals including annual appointments and routine designations.

The board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 4 at 7:00 p.m.
