A facilities speaker told the board the chiller’s three pieces of electrical gear are onsite and staged in the basement and that the chiller unit itself has arrived. The contractor completed a first crane lift for the chiller components; staff said they are planning a potential roof hoist during the Thanksgiving break, with Christmas break as a contingency. Work on interior finishes continues, crews have completed the gym floor, and demo for the middle-school main entrance and bus garage site work will begin soon. Playground equipment and resurfacing bids related to Phase 3 were reviewed by the district’s review team and recommended for award; the board approved those awards by a 5–0 vote.
Board members and operations staff emphasized night and break scheduling to minimize student disruption and said some installations will be timed around school breaks. The board took the action as part of its regular consent/business agenda.
