A motion for first reading of policies 5634, 5731 and 5742 was made by Sherry and seconded by Frank; the board recorded the motion as passing 6–0.
During discussion, one board member asked, “What happened with the app that we have been using?” and said some families report the tracking tool is not operational for certain buses. A colleague noted the district is working with the vendor (referred to in the meeting) and that some buses consistently lose location reporting while others do not. Board members asked staff to check coverage, report back on specific vehicles and publicize to families how to access the tracking tool.
