The board approved the meeting agenda and the minutes of the July regular meeting. Members also approved the July 2025 check register after a brief question about a vendor line described as classroom supplies, and they approved a small set of summer stipends for coaches and staff.
On policy matters, the board voted first to take a state policy advisory (2-67) off the table and then voted not to adopt advisory 2-67, with members saying schools had already developed local cell-phone policies and could continue to refine them. The board approved policy advisory 2-68 on cardiac emergency response and automated external defibrillators after the superintendent reported counts of AEDs at each campus and the need to order at least one device for the maintenance building.
