Greenhouse and courtyard upgrades, new hybrid van and donated-shoe event spotlight school outreach

Presenter gave several updates on facilities and community outreach. On the greenhouse, he reported the small structure next to Dunn is mostly assembled with some weather stripping left to install and said photos show it "amazing out in the courtyard." He added that drill towers have been assembled for use inside the building as part of agricultural programming.
On operations, Presenter described a recently purchased white hybrid minivan acquired just before June and said he planned to test mileage on a trip: "It's at full charge right now. They've almost 84 miles a gallon on this thing," he said and encouraged others to inspect the vehicle.
Presenter also announced the volunteer-run "Shoes for the Shoe List" event at 9:00 a.m. in the community parking lot, noting it operates entirely on donations and typically serves close to 200 children free of charge. "They come in with a van and unload hundreds and hundreds of shoes... Nothing charged back to the school. Nothing charged with the kids or the family," he said, and asked community members to spread the word or volunteer.
Chair and Presenter praised volunteers and described the efficient setup and distribution process. Presenter further noted continuing grant activity and improvements to the courtyard and preschool programs, and said a wellness 5K run is planned for Oct. 4 as an on-campus community health event.
