The Bradford Exempted Village Board of Education paused its Jan. 7 meeting to recognize a group of students in a ceremonial student-spotlight portion of the agenda.
Elementary and secondary staff introduced honorees and read nominations highlighting academic progress, classroom participation and helpfulness to peers. Among those recognized were Carter (nominated for consistent effort in reading intervention), Joshua (noted for overcoming initial fear and helping a new student), Evelyn (commended for classroom leadership and reading growth), Mackenzie Hocker (recognized for motivation and work ethic) and Adam (praised for a positive attitude and effort).
Staff arranged for a group photograph and invited families to remain for the photo opportunity. Administrators said these recognitions are among the meeting’s highlights and thanked teachers and staff who prepared the nominations.
The ceremonial segment closed after everyone gathered for photos and the board resumed regular business.
