At its Jan. 14 organizational meeting the Bexley City School District board elected Joanne Pickrell president and Patrick King vice president for 2026 and approved routine organizational appointments and meeting dates.
The Bexley City School District board completed its organizational business Jan. 14, electing Joanne Pickrell as board president and Patrick King as vice president for 2026.
After nominations the board moved to close nominations and elected Pickrell by roll call. Board members recorded unanimous yes votes during the roll call for the president and for Patrick King’s vice-presidential election.
Trustees also approved appointments for board representatives to district and community organizations, including the Bexley Education Foundation and the Central Ohio School Board Members Alliance, and set regular board meeting dates (generally the second Wednesday of each month at City Hall at 6 p.m.). The board approved standing authorizations, organizational memberships and the 2026 service fund by voice vote during the organizational session.
The organizational meeting adjourned and the regular board meeting reconvened at 6:30 p.m.
What's next: The board will continue its routine assignments and committee work; no further action on facilities or levies was taken during the organizational portion of the meeting.
