The board accepted a $5,000 donation from People’s Bank Foundation for the inclusive playground and a $2,000 donation from Chase Porter for the Spartan Classic. Members thanked donors and noted that continuing contributions, even small ones, will help reach the fundraising goal.
The board member also promoted upcoming school events — including a production of Route 66 with evening performances and an understudy performance on Sunday — encouraging community attendance.
Board members said staff will proceed with procurement once fundraising targets are met and emphasized the need to complete purchases before prices rise.
