Williamsville Central School District lists upcoming screenings, spirit day, flu clinic, FBI presentation and holiday craft show

In a district update, the Williamsville Central School District listed several community and family events in the coming weeks, including health and safety programming.
The district said the Williamsville PTSA Council, in partnership with the Amherst Youth and Community Coalition, is sponsoring a free screening of the documentary "Can't Look Away" on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 11:30 a.m. at the North Park Theater; a Wix mail and the district newsletter include ticket details and a link, the presenter said. The presenter also announced there will be no school for students on Monday, Oct. 20 in observance of Diwali.
Families were invited to join a Williamsville Central School District Spirit Day on Saturday, Oct. 25 in partnership with UB when the Bulls play Akron; ticket information was shared via WICS, the school and district newsletters. The district will host a family flu clinic on Monday, Oct. 27, and families were directed to the Wix mail and newsletter flyer for appointment scheduling.
The district said it will host a screening of an FBI Buffalo virtual presentation on digital dangers for families, educators and local law enforcement on Thursday, Nov. 6 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dodge Elementary School and Casey Middle School. The presenter asked that parents, guardians, educators and administrators attend if interested; no pre-registration was required for those attending the screening at district sites.
Looking ahead, the Williamsville PTSA Council's annual holiday craft show will take place in December at Heim Elementary and Heim Middle Schools. The presenter closed the update noting October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and saying, "I'm a member of the Men Wear Pink campaign sponsored by the American Cancer Society for the month of October. Each day this month, I'm wearing something pink in recognition of the fight and the journey to find a cure."
