Board to send teachers to gifted-education boot camp as part of grant cohort

Staff said they will bring back learnings and provide summaries to the board about benefits and next steps for building a cohesive gifted program in the district.
Board members asked for follow-up reporting on what participants learn and how those results will be used to develop programming. Staff also clarified that participation in the grant cohort will generally be handled through batch approvals tied to the grant rather than separate agenda votes for each trip, and that language and scope details will be provided to the board.
