New hires announced included Daniel Smith, a high‑school emotional‑support teacher with a bachelor’s degree from Shippensburg and special‑education credentials; Anya Ditzler, an early‑childhood teacher and Millersville graduate who completed student teaching at Fritz Elementary; Madison Blanca, a middle‑school learning‑support teacher with dual certification from Millersville; Teresa Ashby, a first‑grade teacher with prior Lancaster County experience; Andrew Jasinski, the new high‑school band director who returns from Massachusetts; Sabrina Castro, an administrative assistant and front‑desk receptionist for the district office; and Dr. Lena Cordero, appointed as the new principal at Fritz Elementary with prior experience in New York and Harrisburg area schools.
Dr. Hartman outlined the hires’ education and credential highlights and welcomed them to the district. The board highlighted an upcoming induction lunch where members can meet the new staff; Mrs. Martin noted that an induction‑lunch invitation was sent to board members by email.
