At the work session staff described a supplemental contract with Soliant to provide specialized pupil-services and a qualified aide for a district student whose IEP requires trained transportation and harnessing support. The matter was presented as Item F in a set of consent items and brought to a vote.
A board member moved to approve Items E and F and another board member seconded; the board then conducted a roll-call vote. The roll call named those present and recorded "Aye" votes from Doctor Martin, Mrs. Fisher, Mr. Talley, Mrs. Koepka, Mr. Eby, Ms. Trowbridge and Mrs. Groff; the chair announced the motion passed.
Separately, the board approved an overnight field trip for two golf-team members who qualified for the state tournament. Staff said hotel and chaperone arrangements exist and noted the trip would be funded from existing athletics budgets; the motion passed by voice vote.
What passed: the supplemental Soliant contract (Item F) and a related staffing authorization were approved by roll call; the golf-team overnight trip was approved by voice vote.
Next steps: the approved contracts will be processed per district procurement rules and the athletic staff will finalize travel arrangements and chaperone assignments before the tournament.
